Photo label says only Kerch peninsula; the Mindat entry places the rhodochrosite in the Kamysh-Burun Trough. Specimens reported by the museum paper are labelled Komysh-Burun. Coordinates left empty because no opened source gave them. Coordinates: Nominal centre of the Kerch Peninsula (45 15 N, 36 00 E). The peninsula is over 90 km long, so this does not locate a rhodochrosite site. Mindat's Kerchenskoe rhodochrosite localities (Eltigen-Ortel' Trough, Quarry E Kamysh-Burun) only carry estimated coordinates (45 N, 36 E).
